By creating interdisciplinary teams of lawyers, social workers and investigators, the Bronx Defenders is able to provide every client with a team that is interested in more than just winning a case. At the Bronx Defenders, case outcomes and life outcomes are equally important. And our doors are open whether or not there is a pending court date.

Law Interns, under the supervision of the Legal Director, work with Bronx Defender defense teams and are involved in every phase of criminal defense representation.

College Interns and Investigative Interns - The Bronx Defenders also accepts
college interns for summer placement and investigative interns for both summer
and semester placement. All internships are full time. Investigative interns are responsible for the field work
associated with the defense of a criminal case. They take witness statements,
serve subpoenas and, if necessary, testify. Applications should

Social Work Positions - The Bronx Defenders is currently seeking smart, dedicated and compassionate social workers with a Masters of Social Work to assist legal teams in the defense of our clients, provide short-term and crisis counseling and referrals. Applicants should be dedicated to social and criminal justice, posess excellent writing skills, and must be bilingual (Spanish/English).
