David A. Walden, Esq. is a Managing Director of Smythe Masterson & Judd. In the field of executive search, Mr. Walden has focused on senior attorney placements, both in-house and at law firms. He has also been an active member of the Partner placement and law firm merger practice at Smythe. Over the years, Mr. Walden has successfully placed lawyers throughout Asia, Europe and the United States with many of the more prestigious Fortune 500 companies, investment banks, commercial banks, and national and international law firms.
Prior to executive search, Mr. Walden was an attorney with the Wall Street law firms of White & Case and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. In 1992, he was a political fundraiser for the Clinton-For-President Campaign and, subsequently, for the 1993 Presidential Inauguration Committee.
Mr. Walden attended Phillips Exeter Academy, graduating with honors, and Tufts University, where he graduated magna cum laude, and was awarded an honorable prize scholarship in economics. He received his Juris Doctorate degree, with a concentration in Business Law and Regulation from Cornell Law School, complemented by studying his third year at Columbia Law School.
Mr. Walden, his wife Lisa and daughter Scarlet presently reside in New York City.
