I&#8217;ll just make a couple of quick points:<\/p>\n<p>1) It&#8217;s the best 3D I&#8217;ve ever seen, bar none. They <i>really<\/i> know how to do it. My previous favorite was <i>Beowulf<\/i>, but even that seems gimmicky and projectile-heavy compared to <i>TS3<\/i>. The 3D especially shines in&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>2) &#8230;the short, <i>Day &amp; Night<\/i>, is not only mind-blowingly brilliant but makes the cleverest use of 3D I&#8217;ve ever seen anywhere.<\/p>\n<p>3) All Pixar systems were completely re-done circa <i>Up<\/i>, so all the character models and sets had to be completely rebuilt from scratch, and they&#8217;re both noticeably superior and exactly the same as the last two times, if you can dig it. They&#8217;ve found a perfect visual balance between the 15-year-old pristine &#8220;birth of the CGI movie&#8221; <i>Toy Story<\/i> look of Andy&#8217;s room and the post-<i>Wall-E<\/i> astounding atmospherics and textures.<\/p>\n<p>4) Another trilogy with no weak link, like <i>The Lord of the Rings<\/i> (and, of course, <i>The Expando Machine<\/i>) (kidding).<\/p>\n<p>5) God, I love animation!<\/p>\n<div class=\"blogger-post-footer\"><img width='1' height='1' src='' alt='' \/><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>***** (2010) GUARANTEED 100% SPOILER-FREE I&#8217;m not going to say much beyond insisting that all of you just go see this, and marvel at the unparalleled artistry of Pixar.
