StudentCenter Advisory Circle

StudentCenter and Career Counselors

Our aim is to help students define and achieve their career goals. We de-mystify the job search process by providing career-related information in a clear format, and by emphasizing the importance of research and preparation.

Where does our mission fit in with your job as a career counselor? Of course, no Internet service can ever be a replacement for personal contact. But at StudentCenter we can store and effectively organize an enormous amount of information that your students want and need. Right now you spend a great deal of time managing an inventory of books, recruiting brochures, flyers and pamphlets. When students find that kind of information at StudentCenter, it frees you to spend the bulk of your time performing your most important tasks: counseling students and developing relationships with recruiters.

About the Advisory Circle

In order to provide the highest quality information for the student and recent graduate community, StudentCenter has organized an Advisory Circle of career professionals with whom we consult and exchange ideas. We are dependent on our advisors as regular users of the system to provide us with feedback, suggestions and criticism so that we can improve our service and better meet the needs of students and campus career offices.

If you are interested in helping us improve StudentCenter and the electronic dissemination of career information, we invite you to join our Advisory Circle (click here to send us your contact information). In exchange for your comments we will send you our StudentCenter Internet Starter Kit, a collection of information about StudentCenter and the Internet.
